Jennifer Wilson

As Sr. Vice President – Accounting & Finance, Jennifer oversees all accounting functions at Starwood Land. Jennifer has over 25 years of real estate and financial accounting experience. Prior to joining SLA in 2010, Jennifer was a Division Controller with Lennar, a Vice President of Accounting with Echelon Development, and a Regional Controller with Industrial Developments International. Jennifer is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Brian Stidham

Brian has more than 20 years of development and construction experience across multiple asset classes in Texas and Florida. This includes residential, commercial and educational sectors. Prior to joining Starwood Land in Houston, Brian was Vice President of Real Estate and Development at Forestar and Director of Development at Hines. Brian has a B.S. in Construction Science from Texas A&M University and is a licensed Building Contractor in Florida.
David Langhout
VP of Land

As VP of Land, David is responsible for sourcing and underwriting new land investments. David has more than 30 years of experience in residential land and investment. He has worked both as Vice President of Land for homebuilders, as well as placing equity capital investments with private homebuilders across the eastern United States and Texas. David has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from DePauw University, and a Master’s from Northwestern University.

Jennifer joined the Starwood Land team in 2012 and performs financial analysis and reporting for various projects throughout the United States. She was previously with the Bonita Bay Group for 7 years. Jennifer has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s degree in Accounting from Florida Gulf Coast University.
Sarah Koch

Prior to joining the Starwood Land team, Sarah spent more than 3 years in public accounting with a regional firm in Pennsylvania. She earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Bill Kouwenhoven
HOA Director

As HOA Director, Bill oversees the HOA and CDD operations for all Starwood Land communities. Prior to joining Starwood Land, Bill spent 11 years with Lennar where he served as Land Division Controller and Director of Land. He has more than 32 years of real estate experience and holds an M.B.A. from the University of South Florida.
Stuart Young
Sr. Analyst/Asst. Project Manager

Stuart joined Starwood Land in 2021 as a Senior Analyst/Assistance Project Manager. Before coming to Starwood Land he spent 4 years working for Foremost Companies, a California-based land developer, as an assistant project manager and senior financial analyst. Stuart earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Karim Khaiboullin

Karim joined Starwood Land’s Land Acquisition team in 2023. In the previous 2 years, he was a debt & equity analyst for JLL in Miami and was involved in more than $2.1 billion of joint venture equity, preferred equity, mezzanine financing, and senior-level financing for commercial real estate assets. Karim earned his B.S. in Business Administration – Information Systems (BSBA-IST) with a minor in Real Estate and Economics from the University of Florida.
Lori Joyce

Lori joined Starwood Land in 2011 and has over 30 years of residential real estate administration and marketing experience. Prior to joining the Starwood Land team, she was Vice President of Marketing at Schroeder Manatee Ranch, and spent 11 years with Taylor Woodrow, a public homebuilder in Florida. Lori is a fourth-generation Floridian and holds a Florida Broker’s license.
Karen Wynn
Accounts Payable Specialist

Karen began working for Starwood Land in 2019 after relocating to Florida to escape the cold winters of Maryland. Karen has worked in the property management field for more than 20 years in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Collections and as an Accounting Supervisor.

Tina joined Starwood Land in 2023 and has more than 30 years of accounts payable experience as a Director, Manager and Supervisor, primarily in the Casino industry and most recently in local government.
Cristian Popa

Cristian joined the team in 2023 as a project manager in Houston after working 8 years with Pulte Homes. Originally from Romania, he worked for Societe Generale with a background in managing large scale infrastructure projects. He came to the U.S. in 2003 and obtained his U.S. Citizenship. Cristian has a PhD – Romanian Academy (Market Segmentation and Wage Distribution) & MBA – Bauer College of Business, University of Houston.
Eldi Smith

Eldi has a distinguished career in accounting spanning two decades. Originally from Palos Verdes, California, she and her family now call Florida home. She enjoys snowboarding, jet skiing and the tranquility of the beach.
